Some sample tested in the George Giblet circuit, gains will run between 55-200 Hfe, leakage under 300 microamps, and low noise floor.
A batch labeled 'Hytron' (most likely produced by General Instrument) has been individually measured by hFe and leakage - and is on a separate listing.
Bought a set of the Hytron 2N404As and put them in my Fuzz Face. They sound absolutely awesome! Better than the "proper" AC128Ks I had in there previously. Well worth a try and great service in helping me choose the right parts. Cheers!
