Three variants available- blue, green and violet 'dots.' The meaning of the dots is not known; we have sampled enough to know that there appears to be no correlation between the dot color and hFE or leakage measurements.

Sometimes, we offer individual transistors measured for Hfe (Gain) and Leakage ranges. In most cases we use the Peak DCA but in some instances we use our proprietary Small Bear transistor matching gear and process. Germanium transistors are notorious for inconsistent performance over time, and we do the best we can to measure and record the specs, although our measurements (like any one else's measurements) are subject to the vagaries of human involvement, older technologies and some uncertainty. In plain english- if you purchase an individually measured transistor, it is not returnable nor refundable. We have measured enough transistors over time to be confident in our methods, and to be reasonably sure we will send you what you order.
