Freq Central System X Low Pass Filter

This is a DIY KIT: Frequency Central System X Low Pass Filter (MU) Build Guide

The Frequency Central System X Lo Pass Filter is based on the Roland 100M VCF.

Way back in the mists of time, Frequency Central (FC) acquired a Roland System 100m, their first modular system. They’d used Roland synths of that era before, and what always stood out was the clarity and precision of the filters, clean and squelchy with searing resonance. Their 100m boasted 3 filters, and had these qualities in spades. When FC started out into Eurorack, it was this sound that they craved, but there was nothing quite like it available in the format, so FC made their own. Soon, folks started knocking, asking FC to build a Roland style filter module for them too. So, System X Filter was born, adding a 12dB output in addition to the regular 24dB output. When FC moved over into MU, it seemed a logical step to offer a MU version of this great and classic filter too, and that brings us to System X Lowpass Filter. We hope you love it as much as we do!

The quality of the parts kit overall was excellent, it was shipped double boxed and packed securely, every part was individually packed and labelled, and there was an enclosed parts check list - all good. All of the component parts were of high quality, e.g. machined IC DIP sockets, knobs with brass inserts, metal film resistors, and the front panel color and graphics were of a quality that matched synthesizers.com. There's was no cutting corners, nor any cheap substituted parts, everything was excellent.
