This excellent example of the rare Yamaha CS-40M is a joy to play and to create music with. Stuffed with circuitry similar to Yamaha's flagship CS-80 and built like a tank, this synth released in 1979 offers a plethora of knobs, sliders and mod wheels just begging to be tweaked in realtime. And when you've finished creating your sound, it can be saved into one of the 20 onboard patch memory locations and recalled with the touch of a button. The great-feeling keyboard is duophonic so up to two notes can be played at once. The sound is as fat and full as expected from real vintage analog circuits. Unusual features like the powerful envelope-controlled Ring Modulator and Glissando make this synth a stand-out sound creator!
