March 2024: YOU CAN ORDER THESE ITEMS NOW ON A PRE-ORDER BASIS. We expect the inbound shipment with these items to arrive here April 2024 and customer orders will ship out as soon after that as practical. Metal case and Tolex case orders are longer-lead pre-orders and subject to the lead times for the production queue managed by Antonus. Items shown as ‘IN-STOCK’ are actually PRE-ORDER ITEMS.
This is his ‘original size’ 2600 replica project and is quite special.

Choose your Panel (Two Options)
1. ORANGE Front Panel Kit — Antonus 2600 front panel orange face, slider dust filters, side panels for CV MIDI interface, side panel for AC in and balanced outs, wood frame for speaker
2. GRAY Front Panel Kit — Antonus 2600 front panel gray face, slider dust filters, side panels for CV MIDI interface, side panel for AC in and balanced outs, wood frame for speaker
PCB Set (One Option)
Full PCB Set — x3 Main Boards, x9 sub module boards, x2 boards power supply, x1 side panel board, x1 multiple board, x1 power switch board.
Choose A Parts Kit (Two Options)
1. ELECTRONICS PARTS KIT (FULL) by synthCube — Includes the same items as the Antonus kit, INCLUDING the Cable Kit. Parts are individually bagged and labelled. We use some different parts from the original BOM but all parts have been approved for use. Our BOM does not include headers, sockets or wire for cables.
2. PARTIAL ELECTRONICS PARTS KIT (RARE) by synthCube — Includes the same items as the Antonus kit. Parts individually bagged and labelled. We use some different parts from the original BOM but all parts have been approved for use by Antonus
Cable Kit (One Option)
You will receive all the cables built, with all the matching PCB headers. Also includes Reverb tank, Power ON OFF switch, Main transformer board full built and wired, AC connector. Front Lamp, XLR-Jack combo connectors, Speakers, Midi connectors. Our synthCube Cable Kit will also include a US-spec IEC cable for wall outelt to AC Power inlet.

1. TOLEX ROADCASE — Limited quantity- must be reserved/pre-ordered. Lead times could be lengthy.
2. METAL STUDIO CASE — This kit is for the metal case. Delivered disassembled ready for for assembly by the user. Once assembled it is ready for panels and all the boards.

Other Optional Items
1. LED Slider Cap Set (Optional) — Translucent slider caps made for this project. Set includes 58 caps plus a spare.
2. Duoponic MIDI to CV Board (Optional) — This board comes built and programmed ready for install on the mainboard.

Antonus 2600 DIY Synthesizer
Antonus 2600 is a remake of the classic synthesizer ARP model 2600, more specifically the grey face version with transistor ladder filter.
The electronic circuit is a faithfully recreation following the same scheme and components. Even being harder or more expensive to work with classic thru-hole technology we choose to work in that way to ensure en the sound and character of the original instrument, and event ensure that the instrument can be serviced in the future, during the years.
The 2600 character is so special, the sum of pros and cons parts are the soul of the instrument. We don’t want to “improve” or “update” nothing from the instrument nature, we like the sound and character of the original one and thats the work path for us. This sound was part of the music history, and have a shape in so many recordings from the 70’s from today. We love the warm, the punch and the electric sound of the original instrument so we work with that idea now.
Faithful to the original – 100% analog
We work with thru.hole components, using traditional soldering techinques, using “human scale” components. All IC’s are socketed using high grade turned sockets. No SMD components were used, only the small MIDI board have some SMD components. In the future you can change, repair any component of the boards like classic electronic thru-hole designs.
Using this build technique can make slower and more cost manufacture today, but the sound and behaviour worth it, also we feel that this is part of the soul and intention of the instrument, being far from the consumer mass media electronic production.
