The Simple Skiff is a semi-modular Eurorack case system that can grow along with your collection of modules. Add additional rows or various mounting options to customize your studio or performance setup, or use one row on its own as a smaller, more portable case. Simple Skiffs are designed to be understated, attractive, and a rock solid foundation for your modular rig. The fundamental building block of the Simple Skiff system is the row. One row works great as a stand-alone case, but they can also be joined together to create much larger systems. Rows come in two lengths: 64 HP or 104 HP. Each row is made from solid extruded aluminum and is finished with a matte black hard-coat anodization process. Side panels are made from solid machined aluminum. Please keep in mind that only rows of the same length can be combined together to create larger case assemblies, but all other parts are compatible with either length. A passive bus board distributes power to all of your modules at the bottom of each row. As an option, you can add a Power Inlet Kit to the side of any row; this replaces one of the blank side panels with a panel providing a power inlet jack and switch, allowing you to power your system with an external Power Adapter. In a typical multi-row system, only one Power Inlet Kit is needed, since the bus boards in adjacent rows can be joined together.

Power Inlet Kit

The Power Inlet Kit is designed to replace one of the two blank side panels on any Simple Skiff row. Simply remove the blank panel (a hex key is included) and install the new pre-assembled panel to add a DIN-5 power inlet jack and an illuminated toggle switch to the side of your case. The DIN-5 jack is compatible with all of our Eurorack-specific Power Adapters as well as several stock Mean Well power supplies. The power inlet board connects to your existing bus board via a short ribbon cable, which is also provided.

Power Inlet Kit

Angle Kit

This Simple Skiff kit is very similar to the standard Connector Kit, except for the fact that these two machined aluminum connector panels are shaped differently in order to position two connected rows at 30 degrees (relative to each other). A ribbon cable, linking the bus boards of the two rows, can be installed running underneath the connector panel invisibly. In most normal situations, this kit must be used along with at least one pair of Angle Stands so as to properly support the entire case assembly. The included bottom connector pieces are designed to precisely line up with corresponding mounting positions on the bottoms of the various Angle Stands in order to increase overall strength. Vertical Kit

Add a set of feet to support your Simple Skiff system vertically with this basic kit. Machined aluminum support pieces, with pre-installed rubber feet, replace two of the existing corner pieces on your case. The existing bottom rubber feet are not affected. Includes hex key for installation.

Angle Stand

These solid anodized aluminum Angle Stands allow for numerous possible configurations for your Simple Skiff rows. Available in sizes of one row (3U), two rows (6U), or three rows (9U), these stands can also be stacked to create various arrangements in combination with the Connector Kit and/or the Angle Kit. Each package includes two identical metal brackets, the hardware needed to attach them, and a hex key for easy installation. Please note that when combined, each Angle Stand can only be stacked on top of a model larger than the first (ie. 3U/6U, 3U/9U, 6U/9U, or 3U/6U/9U). These stands sit at an angle of 30 degrees.

Power Adapter, 70 W

These self-contained external Power Adapters are designed to provide a balanced mix of voltages for your Simple Skiff system. These units supply equal amounts of power to the +12 V and -12 V rails, while also providing an additional +5 V rail for modules that require it. Each unit has a socket for a standard IEC (C13) power cable (input) on one side, and a socket for a DIN-5 cable (output) on the other. Both cables are included. Please note that the included IEC cable has a NEMA 5-15 plug designed for use in the United States; use in other countries may require a different cable and/or an adapter.
