Never Fail DIY Kit Service
synthCube’s ‘Never Fail’ DIY Kit Service — U.S. Customers
You’ve spent a lot of time assembling your DIY module kit and it’s just not working as expected. Don’t worry—we’ll see you over the finish line!
Our ‘Never Fail’ Service is a guarantee of a working module. If you have built the kit and conducted basic troubleshooting but can't get it to work-- purchase the ‘Never Fail’ Service and send the module to us. Once we have it-- we’ll troubleshoot the issues, resolve them, calibrate and test the module and send it back to you. We cover the cost of any replacement parts and the shipping to return your module to you. We’ll also summarize what we found-- to help you learn and improve for your next build! And we’ll include a discount coupon for $10 off your next kit purchase from synthCube!
If we are utterly unable to repair your module, we’ll replace it with YOUR CHOICE of an assembled, tested version of the module OR another version of the kit for you to build again.
The ’Never Fail’ Service can be purchased for most kits we sell.* (see exceptions below). Before sending us your module, you must complete standard troubleshooting steps**; we have found that these steps eliminate over 85% of build failures.

** Standard Troubleshooting Steps
You must complete these before buying the ‘Never Fail’ Service:
Visually check each component — Location, Orientation, Value (LOV Check)
Visually inspect each solder joint with a scope or magnifying glass. Check for cold joints, bridges, etc. Reflow any suspect joints. Then reflow each solder joint to eliminate any invisible solder joint problems.
Doublecheck polarities/orientation AGAIN for electrolytic capacitors, diodes, and ICs. Doublecheck that all IC legs are mounted in the socket and not bent under.
Doublecheck orientation and leg designations AGAIN for transistors (leg designators can change if you substitute a transistor type).
Doublecheck your power connector orientation. Doublecheck that the power cord is attached to the power header fully and in the correct direction.
If you have a DMM, check that your module is receiving the proper voltages at the power header and any test points on the schematic.
